Gurugram, March 27: The Gurugram Municipal Corporation (MCG) has issued an official advisory regarding a three-day traffic diversion on Basai Road scheduled to begin this week. Officials stated that the stretch near Civil Hospital in Sector 10 will face partial or complete closures from March 28 through the noon of March 30 to facilitate essential roadwork. To reduce the impact on daily commuters, the primary construction activities are slated to occur during the night, between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

MCG Executive Engineer Pradeep Kumar affirmed that a comprehensive diversion strategy is in place to prevent congestion. He stated that the department has coordinated with the Gurugram traffic police to ensure personnel are stationed throughout the construction zone. Kumar maintained that the plan prioritizes the movement of emergency vehicles, ensuring that ambulances heading to the Sector 10 hospital encounter no delays despite the diversions.

Authorities asserted that while the work is concentrated at night, the road may remain restricted until mid-day on March 30. Motorists traveling from Basai Road toward the hospital are advised to follow the designated alternative routes. The administration declared that these measures are necessary to ensure the safe and timely completion of the infrastructure upgrades.

The municipal body noted that the construction is part of a broader effort to improve road conditions in high-traffic hospital zones. Officials asserted that signboards and barriers will be placed to guide drivers through the detours. Residents and regular commuters have been urged to plan their journeys in advance to avoid potential bottlenecks during the transition periods.
