Gurugram, Sept 23: Gurugram Traffic Police impounded a motorcycle carrying 21 unpaid traffic challans amounting to ₹1,25,560 during a targeted vehicle-checking exercise at Maruti Kunj T-Point. Law enforcement officers intercepted the rider after he failed to produce mandatory registration and compliance documents upon request.
Upon digital verification, traffic officials discovered multiple long-pending violations under various provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. Police spokespersons affirmed that the majority of penalties stemmed from operating the vehicle without valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates, missing insurance coverage, and related traffic infractions.
Authorities declared that the vehicle was transferred to a designated impound facility in accordance with established statutory guidelines. Traffic department representatives maintained that enforcement drives against habitual offenders will continue, urging vehicle owners to maintain updated documentation and clear outstanding fines promptly.
