LUDHIANA, Oct. 10, 2204: A fire broke out early Thursday morning at Hotel Royal Blue near the Ludhiana bus stand in Jawahar Nagar Camp, leading to the death of two people and five others being hospitalized due to suffocation.

The victims who died were reported to be a couple staying at the hotel. The fire started around 5 a.m., quickly spreading to the second floor, where the couple was located.

Due to the narrow exits, guests were unable to evacuate easily, leading to fainting from smoke inhalation.

All affected persons were rushed to a private hospital, where the couple succumbed to their injuries.

Local authorities, including the District Magistrate and police from Division No. 5 and the Bus Stand Chowki, responded to the scene.

The hotel has been sealed as an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
