Chandigarh, Sept 21: Two Indian student pilots lost their lives in a plane crash during a training flight in Canada. The deceased have been identified as Manoj Sivakumar from Tamil Nadu and Srisaran Thirugnanasambantham from Puducherry.
The tragedy unfolded when their aircraft, a Cessna 172, crashed during a night flight training session. Officials confirmed that the Consulate General of India in Vancouver was alerted following the incident and has since established contact with Canadian authorities.
The Indian mission in Vancouver expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the young aviators. “The Consulate General of India, Vancouver, expresses its deepest condolences on the tragic demise of Shri Manoj Sivakumar and Shri Srisaran Thirugnanasambantham, two Indian students from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, who lost their lives in a tragic air accident in Canada during their flight training,” the consulate declared in an official communication.
Diplomatic officials maintained that complete assistance is being extended to the grieving families. “Our heartfelt sympathies are with their bereaved families and loved ones during this difficult time,” the mission stated, affirming that all necessary procedures are underway to facilitate the early repatriation of their mortal remains to India.
