Sri Anandpur Sahib: Dozens of Congress leaders and workers from village Nanowal in the Sri Anandpur Sahib constituency joined the Aam Aadmi Party, citing deep satisfaction with the development agenda of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s government. Cabinet Minister and local MLA Harjot Singh Bains formally welcomed the new members, urging them to continue expanding public welfare initiatives across the area.
The decision to join the ruling party stemmed from visible local infrastructure improvements, according to the incoming leaders. They noted that recent public outreach events, including the Lok Milni held in village Jindwari, allowed citizens to voice concerns directly to officials and secure swift resolutions.
Key infrastructure projects underway in the region include new roads, bridges, culverts, and dedicated irrigation setups for the Changer belt. Progress on four-laning the Nangal-Kiratpur Sahib highway was also cited as a major factor improving connectivity and local transport.
Harjot Singh Bains affirmed that the state government remains focused on non-discriminatory service delivery to ensure every resident receives benefits without bias. He stated that political work should focus on communal harmony, mutual respect, and community development rather than division.
The newly inducted members pledged to take state policies to every household, while Bains assured them that every worker would receive due respect within the party organization as local development continues to accelerate.
