Amritsar, August 8: Border Security Force personnel stationed in the Amritsar sector shot and killed an unidentified man late last night after he attempted to scale the international border fencing heading towards Pakistan.

Field officials stated that sentries on duty spotted the individual moving closer to the perimeter from the Indian side of the territory. Guards issued immediate verbal challenges directing the person to halt, but the traveler disregarded the warnings and persisted in approaching the barrier.
