DELHI, Oct. 10, 2024: The first photograph of Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has been released following the sealing of her official residence.
In the image, Atishi is seen working amid packed belongings from her Chief Minister’s residence, as she continues her duties from her private home.
The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of orchestrating the situation, claiming that the Lieutenant Governor (LG) forcibly removed Atishi’s possessions from the official residence.
Reports said that preparations are underway to allocate the CM’s residence to a senior BJP leader, further fueling tensions between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the BJP.
The BJP, which has not held power in Delhi for 27 years, is seeking to gain a foothold in the Chief Minister’s residence, raising concerns over the politicization of administrative spaces in the capital, according to political analysts.
