LUCKNOW, OCT 2 — Infrastructure development and land acquisition for the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) have gained significant momentum under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s administration. Official data as of October 1, 2026, reveals that out of an approved 56,662 acres across 33 villages, 28,874 acres have been secured. The land assembly saw steady progress with 7,026 acres added between November and September, including 616 acres acquired in September alone.
The initial development focuses on a 1,000-acre section within the designated 2,320-acre Activation Area. Proposed infrastructure works valued at ₹447.01 crore under the Atal Industrial Infrastructure Mission include road networks, a 132 KV power line, a 30 MLD water trunk line, cycle tracks, an Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), and overhead utility tanks. To secure long-term utility needs, inter-state talks with Madhya Pradesh concluded with an agreement to supply 216 MLD of water for the BIDA project.
Major industrial conglomerates—including Samvardhan Motherson International, BEML, Raphe mPhibr, Lulu Group, CONCOR, and Sify Technologies—have expressed interest in investing across data, chemical, logistics, and defense clusters. BIDA’s industrial framework was highlighted at the UP International Trade Show 2026, where its exhibition stall earned the Best Display Award.
