Chandigarh, March 28 — Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport will introduce four new flights to Srinagar and Mumbai as part of its summer schedule, starting March 30.
According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the total number of flights will increase from 100 to 104, with 52 arrivals and 52 departures operating daily until October 25.
However, no new international routes have been added. The airport will continue to offer only two international flights—to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This comes despite Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s assurance in December about ongoing discussions with airlines to start flights to Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto, and European destinations.
