IPL 2025 New Schedule Unveiled: Exciting Matches Ahead!

May 13, IPL 2025: After the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule of the remaining matches. The IPL will start again from May 17. All matches will be played at six grounds. The final match will be played on June 3.

Match between Punjab and Delhi will be held again

Amidst the tension between India and Pakistan, the BCCI postponed the IPL for a week. 58 matches of the 18th season had been played, including the match played between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala. This match was stopped midway, so it was inconclusive. However, now the BCCI has decided to hold this match again. On May 24, both the teams will clash in Jaipur.

Two double headers in the new schedule

The BCCI on Monday announced the schedule of the remaining 17 matches of the IPL 2025 season. The remaining matches will be played at six grounds including Bangalore, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The new schedule also includes two double headers. The first double header is on May 18. On Sunday afternoon, Rajasthan Royals will face Punjab Kings in Jaipur, while on the same day in the evening, Delhi Capitals will face Gujarat Titans in Delhi. At the same time, the second double header will be on May 25. On Sunday afternoon, Gujarat Titans will face Chennai Super Kings, while Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Kolkata Knight Riders at 7:30 pm. No match will be played on May 28, May 31 and June 2.

When will the playoffs start?

The playoffs will start from May 29. The first qualifier match will be held on May 29. The eliminator will be played on May 30. The second qualifier will be played on June 1 while the final match will be held on June 3. The venues for these four matches will be announced later.

Gujarat at the top of the table

The Gujarat Titans team was at the top of the points table until the IPL 2025 season was postponed. Gujarat was in the first place with 16 points after eight wins and three losses in 11 matches. RCB was in second place with the same number of points as Gujarat in the same number of matches. Punjab was in third place, while Mumbai Indians was in fourth. CSK, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals were out of the playoff race, while Delhi Capitals, KKR and Lucknow Super Giants still had hopes alive.
