Mohali, May 14 — Harmandeep Singh Hans, a 2015-batch Indian Police Service officer, has been appointed as the new Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Mohali.
Before his latest posting, Hans was serving as Joint Director, Crime, in the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, based in Mohali.
He now succeeds Deepak Pareek, a 2014-batch IPS officer, who held the post of district SSP since August 2, 2024.
Hans, a native of Mohali, is no stranger to the district. He previously served as Superintendent of Police in the area, giving him familiarity with the local law and order landscape.
The change in leadership comes as part of a routine administrative reshuffle by the state police department.
