CHANDIGARH, MAY 19: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday extended his congratulations to Dr Jagdeep Singh on being appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Punjabi University, Patiala, expressing hope that the institution would scale new academic heights under his leadership.
Calling Punjabi University the pride of Punjab, especially the Malwa region, the Chief Minister said he was confident Dr Singh’s decisive and visionary approach would restore the university’s past glory.
“This appointment marks the beginning of a new era of growth for the university,” Mann said in a message.
Reiterating his government’s focus on education, health, and employment, Mann said a comprehensive roadmap had been laid out to revitalise the education sector. He added that the state government would leave no stone unturned to make Punjab a leading state in the country.
