HISAR, SEPT 12: Hisar will host the Union Public Service Commission National Defence Academy and Naval Academy examination for the first time on Sunday, with 1,439 candidates scheduled to take the test across five designated centres in the district. District administration officials declared that the exam will proceed in two sessions, beginning with Mathematics from 10 am to 12:30 pm, followed by the General Ability Test from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. Candidates are required to reach their respective venues early, with morning entry open between 8 am and 9:30 am.
Nodal officer Dr. Subhash Chandra maintained that a rigorous three-level verification process will be implemented at all examination points. Candidates will first clear police security at the main entrance, after which their identities will be cross-checked through a digital face-authentication application linked to a barcode on their roll numbers. Officials affirmed that any visual discrepancies will undergo manual verification on-site to ensure genuine candidates can write the exam without delay.
To ensure peace and smooth conduct, Deputy Commissioner Mahender Pal reviewed security measures on Saturday and ordered the closure of nearby photocopy shops from 9 am to 6 pm on September 13. The Deputy Commissioner also imposed Section 163 restrictions under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, prohibiting public gatherings within a 200-metre radius of all centres, including Guru Gorakhnathji Government College, PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School Jahajpul, PM Shri Government Girls Senior Secondary School Gangwa, and the school campus at CCS Haryana Agricultural University. In view of the arrangements, assignment submissions at IGNOU Study Centre 1009 will also remain suspended for the day.
