Seven Killed, 32 Injured as Mini Bus Overturns in Hoshiarpur

Hoshiarpur, July 7: Seven people were killed and 32 others injured when a mini bus overturned after colliding with a car near Sagran village in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur district on Monday, police said.

According to preliminary information, the bus was en route from Hajipur to Dasuya when the driver reportedly lost control following the collision. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn, trapping several passengers inside.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the injured were immediately taken to the Civil Hospital in Dasuya for treatment.

Hoshiarpur police said an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the crash. “The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained and will be thoroughly investigated,” said Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural) Harvinder Singh Virk.

The identities of the deceased were not disclosed at the time of reporting. Authorities are working to notify the families of the victims.
