Shilpa Shetty moves HC against claims of ₹15 crore transfer

Mumbai, September 29 — Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty has denied reports that her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, transferred ₹15 crore to her company in connection with an alleged ₹60 crore cheating case.

Calling the allegations “totally fake and mischievous,” Shetty’s lawyer said the claims were planted to damage her reputation. He confirmed that the actress has moved the Bombay High Court against what she described as a defamatory media campaign.

“Shetty will also initiate criminal and civil proceedings against media houses that circulated such unverified reports,” her lawyer said, while adding that she continues to cooperate fully with investigating agencies.

The case is being probed by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Police, which has named both Shetty and Kundra, along with others, as accused.

Reports have suggested that Kundra told investigators part of the ₹60 crore was paid as professional fees to actors Bipasha Basu and Neha Dhupia, and producer Ekta Kapoor.

While the probe remains ongoing, Shetty has sought legal intervention to prevent further damage to her reputation.
