Chandigarh: IndiGo is set to launch a direct flight from Chandigarh to Singapore starting October 27, coinciding with the winter schedule.
According to inputs, the flight is expected to operate daily.
Ajay Verma, CEO of Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, stated that while IndiGo has scheduled this route, confirmation is pending and is expected by October 20.
Verma also mentioned that efforts are underway to establish additional international destinations, including London and Istanbul.
He further explained that IndiGo is a codeshare partner with Qantas Airlines, which operates multiple flights from Singapore to various countries.
“A codeshare flight allows airlines to sell seats on each other’s flights,” he added.
