Girls Lead as ICSE, ISC 2026 Results Announced

Overall pass percentages exceed 99 percent for both Class 10 and 12

New Delhi, April 30: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared the results for the 2026 academic year on Thursday, revealing that female students once again outperformed their male counterparts in both Class 10 and Class 12. The data shows an overall pass percentage of 99.18 percent for the ICSE (Class 10) and 99.13 percent for the ISC (Class 12) examinations.

According to the official statistics, 2,58,721 candidates sat for the ICSE exams, with 2,56,590 students successfully clearing the requirements. In the ISC category, 1,02,414 students passed out of a total of 1,03,316 who appeared. Board officials stated that the gender performance gap was evident across both levels, as girls in Class 10 achieved a 99.46 percent pass rate compared to 98.93 percent for boys. A similar trend was observed in Class 12, where girls secured a 99.48 percent success rate while boys recorded 98.81 percent.

Council representatives maintained that the results were consistent across various demographic categories. In the ICSE results, students in the general category led with a pass percentage of 99.26 percent, closely followed by OBC students at 99.24 percent. For the ISC exams, general category students recorded a success rate of 99.17 percent. Officials affirmed that the examinations were comprehensive, covering 67 subjects at the secondary level and 45 subjects at the senior secondary level.

The CISCE declared that the results are now accessible to all students and parents through their official website. Educators asserted that the high pass percentages reflect the continued academic resilience of students across the country.
