NEW DELHI, May 10 — Hampton Sky Realty Limited issued a formal statement Saturday addressing ongoing proceedings by the Enforcement Directorate, asserting that its business operations remain entirely within the legal framework of the country. The company declared that its entry into the mobile-phone export sector in May 2023 was a strategic move aligned with the central government’s “Make in India” initiative and the Production-Linked Incentive scheme.

The company stated that every unit exported, primarily consisting of Apple and Samsung handsets, underwent rigorous statutory checks by independent authorities. According to the release, these exports were subject to physical examinations by Customs officials and IMEI scanning, which was recorded on the national ICEGATE system. The company affirmed that global manufacturers, including Apple Inc., cross-verified these unique identification numbers against their activation databases, confirming the devices were genuine and activated outside India.

Regarding financial transactions, the company maintained that all export proceeds were received through authorized banking channels and fully paid out to domestic suppliers. The statement asserted that no funds were retained offshore or diverted, which the company noted disproves any allegations of “round-tripping” or financial impropriety.

Addressing concerns over Goods and Services Tax (GST) input-tax credits, the firm declared itself a victim of supplier-side fraud. The company stated it proactively filed a First Information Report against several suppliers in Ludhiana a year ago. The statement affirmed that any contested GST amounts have already been deposited with the authorities while the matter is under appeal, ensuring no loss to the government exchequer.
