CHANDIGARH, MAY 28 — The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday reshaped its leadership structure in northern India, appointing Dr. Archana Gupta as the new state president of the Haryana BJP unit.

The organizational transition was formalized through an official order released by BJP National President Nitin Nabin. Gupta succeeds the outgoing state chief, Mohan Lal Badoli, taking charge of the state unit with immediate effect as part of a wider national overhaul that also saw new leadership announcements for Delhi, Punjab, and Tripura.

Gupta, a prominent medical professional and radiologist, has a long history within the state’s political infrastructure. She previously served as the state general secretary for the Haryana BJP and held leadership roles as the district president for Panipat and the head of the local party’s women’s wing, the Mahila Morcha.

“I pledge to discharge the responsibility entrusted to me as the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Haryana, with complete integrity, dedication, and a spirit of service,” Gupta stated following the announcement. She noted that the appointment reflects a recognition of the collective effort of grassroot party workers across the state.

Party officials noted that Gupta has been an active voice regarding policy implementation at the grassroots level. She recently led public campaigns focusing on women’s empowerment initiatives and the promotion of the Nari Shakti Vandana Adhiniyam throughout the state.
