New Delhi, July 25: Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke confirmed his typhoid diagnosis, affirming that his medical condition will not pause the nationwide campaign demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The political activist revealed his health status in a video message shared on social media platforms, noting that he had experienced prolonged illness prior to receiving test results confirming the infection. He is presently undergoing medical care, which includes daily intravenous drips, while monitoring the ongoing movement.
Expressing gratitude to members and supporters maintaining demonstrations across various regions, Dipke stated that sustained public pressure remains vital to achieving their administrative objectives.
“The treatment is ongoing… but I want to thank all the cockroaches protesting peacefully across the country,” Dipke declared, adding that continued peaceful demonstrations would eventually force Pradhan to step down.
The CJP-led movement emerged following public concerns regarding alleged irregularities in competitive entrance examinations. Demonstrators continue to push for systemic accountability in testing protocols, comprehensive recruitment reforms, and senior ministerial accountability. Party representatives confirmed that the central protest venue at Jantar Mantar will remain active until their key demands are met.
The campaign recently saw significant developments following a 26-day hunger strike by activist Sonam Wangchuk, who joined the movement in late June over examination integrity concerns and the NEET paper leak issue. After medical transfers from Safdarjung Hospital to Medanta Hospital under Delhi High Court orders, Wangchuk met with Union Ministers J.P. Nadda and Jitendra Singh. The hunger strike concluded after the central government issued written assurances promising no legal action against peaceful protesters, parliamentary discussion on examination reforms, and formal consideration of compensation for affected families.
