CHANDIGARH, JULY 26 — Mass demonstrations organized under the banner ‘Thali Bajao, Tanashah Bhagao’ resonated across Punjab as Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers gathered in all districts to protest examination paper leaks and demand reform in national testing bodies.
Party representatives affirmed that public pressure and student-led activism played a decisive role in forcing the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
“This is a landmark victory for crores of students, youth and every citizen who believes in democracy and the right to raise their voice against injustice,” stated AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang during the protest.
He cautioned against authoritarian approaches to peaceful assemblies, asserting that citizens will defend their constitutional rights whenever public interest is overlooked.
“Resignation alone will not be sufficient. We demand a complete overhaul of the country’s examination and recruitment system to ensure transparency, accountability, and an end to paper leaks that have shattered the careers and aspirations of lakhs of young people,” AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang declared.
Supporting the demand for systemic restructuring, Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema affirmed that national recruitment processes require immediate cleanup to restore public trust among job aspirants.
The party affirmed its resolve to maintain advocacy from state avenues to Parliament until transparent, fair, and reliable examination standards are guaranteed for the nation’s youth.
