Chandigarh, August 6: Seven individuals suffered gunshot wounds after three motorcycle-borne assailants opened indiscriminate fire on a vehicle outside the City Police Station in Charkhi Dadri.
The victims were seated inside a black SUV when the attackers intercepted them and fired around 30 rounds before fleeing the scene, leaving the vehicle heavily riddled with bullet marks.
“Preliminary findings point towards an ongoing gang-related dispute between rival factions,” declared Charkhi Dadri Superintendent of Police Lokesh Kumar, maintaining that multiple investigation teams are working to trace the absconding assailants.
Emergency response teams transferred all seven injured individuals to the Civil Hospital before referring them to PGIMS Rohtak for specialized medical attention. Law enforcement agencies cordoned off the crime scene, registered an FIR, and initiated a search operation utilizing CCTV footage and forensic evidence.
