Chandigarh, August 10: The U.T. Chandigarh Administration held a cultural program and patriotic procession at GGDSD College in Sector 32 as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign celebrating 150 years of Vande Mataram.
Organised jointly by the Department of Culture and the Department of Tourism, the event brought together civic officials, student delegations, and community members to foster national pride and public participation.
A major feature of the gathering included Tiranga-themed artistic performances by We Are One, an acclaimed foundation composed of specially abled classical wheelchair dancers and artists.
Following the stage presentations, Chief Secretary H. Rajesh Prasad led college students and faculty members in a campus-wide Tiranga March.
Welcoming the assembled dignitaries, Secretary of Tourism and Culture Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah stated, “The initiative serves to connect citizens with our shared heritage while fostering unity and enthusiasm across all sections of society.”
Presiding as the Chief Guest, Chief Secretary H. Rajesh Prasad affirmed the significance of the occasion, declaring, “Community-led gatherings play a vital role in preserving foundational values and inspiring younger generations toward public service.”
