Mohali, Sept 23: Enforcement Directorate raids at the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority headquarters entered their second consecutive day on Wednesday, with investigative personnel preparing for an extended overnight operation. Over 100 officials from the federal agency alongside central security forces remained inside the Phase 8 facility as the scope of the probe expanded.
Sources affirmed that mattresses were sourced from a local gurdwara to accommodate personnel stationed inside after three floors of the building were sealed. Meal arrangements, including mini-buffet provisions, were organized through a local shopkeeper to support the round-the-clock exercise.
During the ongoing proceedings, Housing Secretary Vikas Garg was briefly escorted under security to his residence before returning to the venue. Officials declared that movement was managed through alternative exits while search teams continued to review records and conduct sustained inquiries within the premises.
