BJP nominees file papers on final day of nominations in presence of CM Yogi

Lucknow, October 6: All eight Bharatiya Janata Party candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections from Uttar Pradesh filed their official nomination papers at Vidhan Bhawan on Tuesday, the final day for submissions. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the proceedings alongside senior party officials and state ministers to offer support and best wishes to the nominees.

The eight BJP candidates include Dharampal Singh, Radhakant Ojha, Prakash Pal, Vidyasagar Sonkar, Gopi Krishna Pandey, Priyanka Singh Rawat, Ram Pratap Singh Chauhan, and Shruti Gangwar. The lineup combines representation from state ministry leadership, regional organizers, and former parliamentarians.

The nomination exercise drew prominent cabinet members and state party executives to Lucknow, highlighting organizational unity ahead of the upcoming legislative poll.

“The party’s nominees reflect a balanced mix of organization workers and experienced leaders dedicated to serving the public interest,” declared Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath following the submission ceremony, expressing confidence in a historic electoral outcome.

Prominent party leaders in attendance included Union Minister of State for Finance and BJP State President Pankaj Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, alongside senior ministers Suresh Khanna, Rakesh Sachan, and Ashish Patel.

“Our candidates represent the collective vision of transparent governance and development across every region of Uttar Pradesh,” stated Pankaj Chaudhary, maintaining that the nominations demonstrate the party’s strong political footprint across the state.
