Mansa, Nov 4: In a major legal development, a Mansa court has ordered the immediate release of activist Lakha Sidhana and Mohanjit Singh Sheron, providing a key turn in the ongoing struggle associated with the Jhota Insaaf Morcha. The court issued explicit directives to the superintendent of the New Nabha Jail to execute their release without delay.

The duo had been taken into custody by the Mansa police following a confrontation surrounding the handling of farmer Daljit Singh’s body. Law enforcement agencies had initially booked both individuals under several stringent provisions, including allegations of attempt to murder, before obtaining police remand and subsequently placing them in judicial custody.

Supporters and members of the Jhota Insaaf Morcha welcomed the judicial order, maintaining that the court’s direction marks a significant step forward in their movement. Operational formalities at the prison facility are currently being completed to facilitate their discharge.
