Zira, Nov 5:The Enforcement Directorate carried out a early-morning search operation on Thursday at the residence of suspended patwari Navdeep Singh in Zira, Ferozepur district, continuing a series of financial probes across Punjab. The action comes closely on the heels of searches at properties linked to Aam Aadmi Party MLA Dr Amandeep Kaur Arora in Moga.

Officials accompanied by central security personnel arrived at the Zira property around 6:00 AM, securing access points to facilitate uninterrupted searches. Navdeep Singh, previously posted at Dharamkot in Moga district, had faced police action following a financial fraud case registered at Dharamkot police station in June 2024, leading to his administrative suspension by the Revenue Department.

Investigators spent several hours examining financial records, bank statements, and land documentation at the premises. Singh, who had obtained bail in July 2026 after a period of detention in Faridkot jail, remained present during the proceedings. Official confirmation regarding specific recoveries or transaction links remains awaited as agency officials continue to process the collected data.
