Gurdaspur, 17 November 2024— Unidentified individuals rammed the vehicle of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Joint Secretary Punjab, Angrej Singh, as he returned from an election campaign in Dera Baba Nanak.
Singh reported that while driving cautiously due to dense fog, a vehicle approached from behind and sideswiped his car, causing it to veer off the road and sustain significant damage.
Local residents quickly assisted Singh, pulling him from the wrecked vehicle. Fortunately, he escaped without serious injuries.
Singh immediately reported the incident to the police, who arrived on the scene to inspect the area. Authorities have begun reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify the perpetrators.
SHO Kalanour confirmed that they received the complaint around 9:30 p.m. near village Dostpur. He assured that a full investigation is underway, and efforts are being made to trace the suspects through surveillance footage. Singh has urged the police administration to take swift action against those responsible.
