Chandigarh, October 30, 2024: Political tensions are escalating in Punjab over paddy procurement issues, prompting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to protest against the central government today. A sit-in demonstration is taking place outside the Punjab BJP office in Chandigarh.
According to reports, the protest is being led by Minister Harjot Singh Bains and Harbhajan Singh ETO, with Taranpreet Singh Soandh overseeing the demonstration.
As AAP workers attempted to move forward, police erected barricades to prevent their advance.
Despite the barriers, when the protesters continued demonstration and the police responded with water cannons.
Following this, Harbhajan Singh ETO and several other leaders were detained by law enforcement officials.
