Bengaluru, 17 November 2024: A 42-year-old businessman was discovered dead inside a burning vehicle in Bengaluru’s Muddinpalya area Saturday evening, with authorities treating the case as a suspected suicide.

According to reports, emergency services were alerted after witnesses reported a car engulfed in flames in a remote spot. Firefighters responded swiftly, extinguishing the blaze, but found the man, identified as C Pradeep, already dead inside the charred Skoda.

“When we arrived, the fire had severely damaged the vehicle, and the occupant had succumbed to smoke inhalation,” a fire brigade official stated.

Pradeep, a hotel consultant, reportedly parked the car in a secluded location before it was set alight. Preliminary investigations suggest he may have ignited the fire himself, leading police to suspect suicide. However, no suicide note was found at the scene.

Authorities have started questioning Pradeep’s family and close associates to understand the possible reasons behind his actions.

“We are looking into whether financial troubles or personal issues may have played a role,” said a senior police officer involved in the case.

As the investigation continues, police are piecing together the circumstances leading up to the incident, trying to determine if there were any warning signs or distress indicators in Pradeep’s life that may have contributed to this tragic event.
