BSF Head Constable Found Dead from Self-Inflicted Gunshot

Shahgarh, 27 December 2024: A pathetic incident occurred on Thursday around noon when BSF Head Constable Krishan Kumar, 44, shot himself with his service rifle at the Bhanu border post in Shahgarh, part of the 173rd Battalion. The deceased, a resident of Hoshiarpur, Punjab, had been serving in the BSF for 24 years.

Shahgarh police station in-charge, Baburam, stated that investigations into the reasons behind the suicide are ongoing. The body of Krishan Kumar has been transported to Ramgarh Hospital, where the postmortem will take place after the family members arrive.
