Chandigarh, July 23: Central Bureau of Investigation teams executed targeted search operations across key locations in Chandigarh and Ludhiana as part of an active probe into a multi-crore financial embezzlement case. Investigators seized relevant financial documents, digital records, and institutional communication logs during morning raids conducted at multiple residential and commercial premises.
The investigative agency initiated the action following formal complaints detailing major accounting irregularities amounting to several hundred crores.
“Simultaneous search operations were carried out across designated locations in Chandigarh and Punjab to recover pertinent evidence and establish asset trails,” an official source familiar with the development noted.
Agency representatives maintained that preliminary documentation points toward structural procedural lapses and unauthorized fund diversions.
Local law enforcement coordinated security perimeters while specialized auditing teams examined transaction registers inside the targeted facilities. Officials asserted that forensic analysis of retrieved electronic devices will proceed at the regional headquarters as the broader inquiry advances.
