Patna, April 28: Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi jointly launched a premier Technology Centre in Bihta, Patna, on Tuesday, signaling a major push for Bihar’s industrial development. The facility is designed to serve as a central hub for advanced manufacturing and skill acquisition, forming the backbone of the state’s modern industrial strategy.
“This Technology Centre will be a driving force behind the vision of ‘Make in Bihar’,” the Chief Minister affirmed during the ceremony. He stated that the state is entering a period of significant industrial dynamism, with a primary focus on transforming the youth from job seekers into job creators. Choudhary maintained that the government is dedicated to building an ecosystem that prioritizes innovation and large-scale entrepreneurship.
The initiative includes a broader outreach through new Extension Centres established in Muzaffarpur, Rohtas, Darbhanga, and Munger. Alongside these openings, the government launched a Special Vendor Development Programme under the National SC/ST Hub. Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi asserted that these networks will function as engines for capability-building, effectively linking local entrepreneurs to global market value chains. He declared that such grassroots efforts are essential for translating national self-reliance goals into local success.
The event also featured the distribution of toolkits and financial aid under various schemes, including PM Vishwakarma and PMEGP. Secretary of the Department of Industries, Kundan Kumar, and Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit were among the senior officials present. Minister Manjhi noted that providing these resources ensures that technical expertise and financial support reach marginalized communities, fostering a more inclusive industrial environment across the state.
