Hoshiarpur, November 15, 2024: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann recited the revolutionary poem “Maghda Rahin Ve Surja Kamian de Vihde” by renowned Punjabi poet Sant Ram Udasi during a youth festival at DAV College, Hoshiarpur, yesterday.
The moment evoked memories of his college days, according to the CM.
Accompanied by his longtime friend and artist Karamjit Anmol, CM Mann shared that this poem held a special place in his heart, as it was a frequent recitation during college competitions. The event, he said, brought back fond memories of his student life.
Mann mentioned the importance of youth festivals as platforms for personal growth, crediting such events for shaping his journey from an artist to a politician.
He urged students to utilize these opportunities to develop their personalities, noting that a focused and determined mindset is key to achieving success.
Encouraging the youth to contribute to making Punjab a global leader, Mann stressed the state’s talent and energy, calling it a driving force for progress.
He also stressed the importance of confidence and a positive attitude, advising against arrogance.
