Chandigarh, October 16, 2024: As temperatures drop in the morning and evening, Punjab and Chandigarh are experiencing a noticeable shift towards colder weather.
Tomorrow, on Thursday, October 17, 2024, Chandigarh is predicted to experience a minimum and maximum temperature of 20.09 °C and 30.99 °C, respectively. Tomorrow humidity levels will be at 39%.
According to details shared by IMD, Faridkot district has recorded the lowest temperatures, with minimum readings ranging between 16.9 and 19 degrees Celsius across the region.
Weather experts predict clear skies until October 27, but changes are expected after October 30, with possible storms and light rain in various areas of Punjab.
However, the change in climate is contributing to increasing air pollution levels.
The AQI in Chandigarh today stands at 154.0, indicating moderate air quality in the city. Children and people with respiratory diseases, such as asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor activity.
Current Air Quality Index (AQI) readings show Amritsar at 115, Jalandhar at 114, Khanna at 117, Ludhiana at 109, Mandi Gobindgarh at 119, Patiala at 112, and Rupnagar at 112.
On Tuesday, Jalandhar’s temperature peaked at 33.1 degrees Celsius, while Patiala is expected to have partly cloudy conditions today.
