Adampur, Jalandhar, 18 December 2024—Congress MLA Sukhwinder Singh Kotli’s nephew, Sunny, was killed following a violent altercation involving 7-8 individuals on Tuesday night. Two others were injured in the attack and are undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Police have arrested three accused and recovered the baseball bat used in the incident. Preliminary reports indicate the clash stemmed from a minor argument that escalated into a fatal attack. Witnesses stated the attackers first used fists and kicks before one retrieved a baseball bat from a parked vehicle and struck Sunny.
MLA Kotli, holding the state’s law and order responsible, has demanded strict action from Jalandhar SSP. Police have sent Sunny’s body for a postmortem and are questioning two others who were present at the scene. Further investigation is underway.
