HISAR, April 14 — Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday said Haryana was advancing steadily on the path of development under what he described as a “triple-engine government” — coordinated governance at the Central, state and local levels. He was addressing a gathering in Hisar during the ‘Sankalp Ki Udaan’ ceremony, held to mark the 135th birth anniversary of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar.
The event also marked the inauguration of commercial air services between Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar and the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya, along with the foundation laying of Terminal-2 at Hisar airport.
Describing the day as “historic,” Saini said the twin developments signaled a new chapter in the state’s infrastructure journey. “Today, we are not only launching a new flight route connecting Hisar to the holy city of Ayodhya but also laying the foundation of a second terminal — a leap in Haryana’s development,” he said.
The chief minister linked the new initiatives to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a developed country by 2047. “Haryana will play a vital role in turning this dream into reality,” he said.
Saini said the BJP-led government had begun delivering on its commitments early into its third term. “In the first 100 days alone, 19 promises from our Sankalp Patra have been fulfilled, work has begun on 90 more, and the remaining are progressing steadily,” he said.
He also mentioned the Lado Laxmi Yojana, introduced with a Rs 5,000 crore provision in the current budget. “This scheme is focused on empowering women and reflects our commitment to inclusive growth,” Saini said.
Reflecting on Hisar’s place in Haryana’s history, he said, “This land has always stood for hard work and sacrifice — from the prosperity of livestock to the bravery of our soldiers and the deep cultural heritage of Agroha and Rakhi Garhi.”
