Patiala: Three people, including a mother and her son, were killed, and seven others injured in a head-on collision between two cars near Shadipur village in Patiala.
The victims have been identified as Jaspal Kaur (55), her son Harinder Singh (38), and Poonam Kaur.
According to police, the crash occurred around 4 am when a car swerved to avoid a tipper parked on the main road, colliding with an oncoming vehicle.
Seven occupants of the cars were hospitalized, six of them critically injured.
A case has been registered against the tipper driver, Balbir Singh, at Sadar police station.
