Chandigarh, 8 December 2024: The Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), reeling from a crushing defeat in the Haryana assembly elections, faces another setback as the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat has issued a notice to vacate its state office in Chandigarh’s Sector 3.
The office operates from a flat previously allotted to Naina Chautala, former MLA from the Badra constituency and mother of JJP leader Dushyant Chautala.
JJP had 10 MLAs in the 2019 assembly elections, but the party failed to win any seats in 2024, including Dushyant Chautala’s own constituency.
The Secretariat’s notice follows the party’s electoral collapse, with the flat now required to be vacated within 15 days. Reports suggest JJP sought a three-month extension, but only a short reprieve was granted.
The party’s leadership now faces logistical challenges in relocating its state office amidst growing political uncertainty.
