Justice Rohit Kapoor Takes Oath as Regular Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court

Chandigarh: Justice Rohit Kapoor was sworn in as a regular judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court during an official ceremony in Chandigarh.

Having served as an Additional Judge of the High Court since May last year, Justice Kapoor was formally administered the oath following the central government’s notification confirming his appointment.

His name was initially recommended for elevation by the Supreme Court Collegium in January 2024, recognizing his legal career spanning across multiple practice areas.

Enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana in 2000, Justice Kapoor built a distinguished reputation over two decades of practice before the bench.

His legal practice primarily encompassed complex matters in service jurisprudence, civil litigation, and constitutional law.

Senior legal fraternity members and judicial colleagues attended the swearing-in event to mark his formal induction into the regular judicial roster of the High Court.
