NEW DELHI, AUGUST 3: Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated on Monday that he will lead a delegation of approximately 100 people to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence on Tuesday. The demonstration aims to formally submit public petitions opposing the Centre’s E20 petrol policy, which blends 20 percent ethanol with petrol across retail outlets nationwide.
Addressing a press conference in the capital, Kejriwal declared that the current fuel policy imposes an unfair economic burden on vehicle owners and elevates running costs for commuters. He affirmed that party representatives will hand over collected memorandums directly to the Prime Minister’s office to press for policy reconsideration.
The political mobilization follows the recent conclusion of extended anti-NEET demonstrations at Jantar Mantar, which saw civil society groups and student organizations gather in significant numbers.
Speaking alongside Kejriwal at the press conference, Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke affirmed that his organization will expand its leadership structure across states in response to growing civic engagement. Dipke declared that high education costs continue to affect middle-class families, asserting that public campaigns for academic transparency will extend beyond traditional demonstration sites.
The announcement coincides with the Supreme Court agreeing to hear a petition regarding the suitability of central protest venues in New Delhi. Law enforcement agencies in Delhi stated that security protocols will be reinforced around high-security zones ahead of the scheduled march.
