Ludhiana, 21 December 2024:Voting for the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation elections began at 7 AM and will continue until 4 PM.
The district administration has set up 1,227 polling stations across the city’s 95 wards to facilitate the voters.
Early reports indicate that 5.4% of the electorate had cast their votes by 9 AM, with polling proceeding peacefully.
Deputy Commissioner Jatinder Jorwal, accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Amarjit Bains, visited various polling stations to oversee the arrangements.
Among notable voters, MLA Ashok Pappi arrived with his wife to cast their votes early in the day.
The election results are expected to be declared by evening.
