FATEHGARH CHUDI, Oct. 10, 2024: A tragic accident occurred near Ajnala Road Government Dairy in Fatehgarh Chudi town under Batala police jurisdiction, where a speeding tractor trolley struck a scooter, killing a 3-year-old girl and injuring her 6-year-old brother.
According to inputs, the incident took place when Rupinder Kaur, a resident of Mattenangal, was returning to her motorcycle repair shop with her two children, Japleen Kaur and Japnoor Singh, after school.
As she turned her scooter towards the shop, a tractor trolley traveling at high speed from Ajnala hit the scooter.
Japleen Kaur, 3, died on the spot, while her older brother Japnoor Singh was injured and is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Fatehgarh Chudi.
The children’s father, Harwinder Singh, and mother, Rupinder Kaur, shared the details of the accident, expressing their devastation over the loss.
Both children were students at Bhai Gurdasji’s private school, located near their parents’ shop on Ajnala Road.
Police have launched an investigation into the accident, and further details are awaited.
