MP Tewari Calls Group Housing Challenges Major Legacy Issues for Chandigarh

Chandigarh: Chandigarh Member of Parliament Manish Tewari reflected on his first 100 days in office, describing it as a “diagnostic test” for the challenges facing the Union Territory and listed problems in the group housing societies as major “legacy issues.”

These issues include restrictions on share-wise property sales, ownership rights for residents of resettlement colonies, the extension of Lal Dora, necessary adjustments to Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) houses, and various other concerns related to group housing societies.

Tewari acknowledged his role as an opposition MP in a federally administered territory, insisting that “the problems and issues should not be viewed through a political lens.
