Newly Elected AAP MLAs Sworn In at Punjab Vidhan Sabha

Chandigarh, 02 December 2024: Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhawan administered the oath to newly elected Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs during a ceremony held in the Members’ Lounge of the Punjab Assembly. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP Punjab President Aman Arora were also present to congratulate the MLAs on their victory in the recent by-elections.

Dr. Ishank Kumar Chabewal from Chabewal, Gurdeep Singh Randhawa from Dera Baba Nanak, and Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon from Giddarbaha were among those sworn in as MLAs. Their family members, along with senior dignitaries, attended the event.

Key cabinet members, including Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, Water Resources Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal, and Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian, were in attendance. Other notable figures present were Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh, MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabewal, and AAP Punjab Working President Amansher Singh Sheri Kalsi.

Chief Minister Mann congratulated the new MLAs on their “resounding victory” and urged them to work diligently for Punjab’s development. Senior officials, including Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha and Advocate General Gurminder Singh, were also present to witness the event.

The oath-taking ceremony highlighted AAP’s strengthened position in Punjab, reflecting the party’s continued influence in state politics.
