Chandigarh, October 25, 2024: India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a Rs 10 lakh reward for information leading to the capture of Anmol Bishnoi, a key figure in the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, following his alleged involvement in the recent murder of prominent Maharashtra politician Baba Ziauddin Siddique.

According to sources, Anmol Bishnoi’s role emerged during the Mumbai Crime Branch’s interrogation of suspects, linking him to Siddique’s killing. Siddique, 66, was fatally shot near his car while leaving his son’s office and later died in the hospital.

The murder of the influential politician, who was part of the coalition governing Maharashtra, has ignited a political storm, with speculations around the motive, reminiscent of the turbulent 1990s when Mumbai’s underworld frequently targeted political figures and celebrities.

Lawrence Bishnoi has openly claimed responsibility for the attack, and Mumbai Police have issued a lookout notice for Anmol Bishnoi.

Bishnoi’s name also surfaced in a recent incident involving shots fired at Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence, raising further concerns over the gang’s reach and intentions.
