Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Women Wing President and Moga MLA Dr. Amandeep Kaur Arora on Thursday alleged that the central government subjected her to a 42-hour Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid in an attempt to intimidate her into joining the BJP with the promise of a ministerial position.
Addressing a press conference alongside AAP Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu, she asserted that searches across her residence and hospital yielded no money or evidence of financial irregularities, forcing agency officials to return empty-handed.
Dr. Arora stated that despite her family and young children being confined during the search, she outright rejected all political inducements, reaffirming her loyalty to party chief Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. AAP Media In-charge Baltej Pannu condemned the central government’s actions as political vendetta aimed at intimidating opposition leaders ahead of the elections, declaring that AAP representatives cannot be bought or pressured and that voters in Punjab will respond decisively to these tactics.
