Chandigarh, November 20, 2024: The Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) has signed a significant agreement with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) to provide specialized healthcare training.
Under this partnership, at least 200 candidates will be trained annually, with the establishment of a Center of Excellence at the Health Skill Development Center in Faridkot.
The agreement was signed by PSDM Mission Director Amrit Singh and BFUHS Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Sood, with Cabinet Minister Aman Arora and Principal Secretary Jaspreet Talwar in attendance.
Minister Arora outlined that the training programs would cover a wide range of roles, including Home Health Aid, Operating Theater Technician, Emergency Medical Technician (Basic), General Duty Assistant, Dental Assistant, Plaster Technician, Orthopedic Technician, and CT/MRI technician.
Amrit Singh mentioned that PSDM funding will support recruitment and ensure effective implementation, while BFUHS will manage the Center of Excellence, offering training and placement opportunities to the candidates.
