Amritsar, 20 November 2024: A sudden meeting convened by the Jathedars of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Sri Damdama Sahib today at the residence of Giani Raghbir Singh raised speculation but left many questions unanswered.
The gathering included Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and Akali Dal Executive President Balwinder Singh Bhundar.
After the meeting, Bhundar declined to disclose the agenda but clarified that Sukhbir Badal’s resignation was not discussed. Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Sri Damdama Sahib, refrained from revealing details but emphasized ongoing efforts for the release of captive Sikhs.
The leaders had earlier attended the funeral of Balwant Singh Rajoana’s brother in Ludhiana’s Rajoana village, where Giani Harpreet Singh also spoke with Balwant Rajoana.
