Chandigarh, December 4, 2024 – The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has issued revised instructions for the 2024-25 academic year, impacting examination schedules for government, semi-government, aided, recognized, and affiliated schools. The adjustments primarily concern bi-monthly and pre-board examinations.
As per the September 2024 guidelines, the second bi-monthly exams were scheduled for late November to early December.
However, due to the CEP exam on December 4, these exams will now commence in the second week of December. The first bi-monthly exams were held in July, while pre-board exams must be completed by January 31, 2025.
Schools are required to conduct at least two online or offline sessions during the academic year, with mandatory participation for classes 8, 10, and 12.
Marks for these exams, including sessional and pre-board assessments, must be uploaded to the PSEB portal by February 25, as these scores will influence board examination results.
Besides, schools must use model question papers and adhere to the prescribed marking scheme for term and pre-board exams. Institutions have been urged to guide students effectively to ensure preparedness for board examinations.
